Christmas ideas

I think I mentioned to you the other day that I am thinking of giving Jade a knitting kit this Christmas (uh, does Paula read this blog?). The problem is that I don't really know what ability six year olds have (uh, she is six, isn't she?). I was hoping to make the kit myself: find the wool, pattern and needles except that I didn't know where to start. So a little google-searching has turned up this kit:

What do you think? (And looking at the one three down. Although the horse one is brilliant and I want it. Not a hint. No, really not. Oh anyway.)
